- Ironbark Cottage is a two bedroom cottage providing simple self-contained, self-catering accommodation for up to 4 people (1 queen bed, 2 single beds). It is situated in a quiet bush setting 2 kilometres west of Karuah Village, just off the Pacific Highway.
- Ironbark Cottage is an ideal stop-over for those travelling north or south on the Pacific Highway, particularly if you have children and/or pets. There is plenty of parking space for your boat, caravan or trailer and a small fenced yard for dogs.
- It is also a quiet retreat for those wishing to escape the pace and noise of busy lives for a weekend or a week and is a great alternative to the more crowded areas of Port Stephens.
- A 25-minute drive will take you to Tea Gardens and Hawk’s Nest for beaches and cafes.
- Nelson Bay is a 40 minute drive for ferry trips, dolphin watching and more beaches.
- It is 30 minutes to Newcastle Airport (Williamtown), 45 minutes to Newcastle and 2.5 hours to Sydney.
- It is opposite the Karuah 9-hole Golf Club and 2 kilometres from the RSL, Bowling Club and boat ramp, giving access to the Karuah River and Port Stephens for fishing, sailing, skiing and kayaking.
- Adjoining Wallaroo State Forest is ideal for nature walks and mountain biking.
